Richard
Walls began racing in 1983 in a Chevy Malibu Station Wagon. He
earned the hard luck award that first year, but it taught him
a lot about what it takes to be a racecar driver. Over the
next few years, Richard won several races each year, but it
wasn't until his pairing with Jake Bulger, that Richard was
able to vault to the top of his class. The team of Walls
and Bulger would dominate the Road Runner division in their
immaculately detailed Ford Thunderbird for three years before
Richard would get another ride. Richard would fund his
own operation for the next few years before Richard would once
again pair with Bulger to pilot his new Late
Model Sportsman. Richard is once again funding his own
team, and has enjoyed great success despite being desperately
underfunded. In 2008, Richard plans to race a full schedule
at Hagerstown in the LMS division, and run selected shows in the 358 diivision when time and funding allows.
